about us
Jeremy Petty founded NOHO Modern in 2002 with
the purpose of exploring the interaction between important modernist art and
design, and has since proven a dynamic and compelling relationship between the
two; for nearly a decade, Petty has mounted exhibitions of paintings,
sculptures, ceramics, and furniture, including solo exhibitions of June
Harwood, James Prestini, and Robert Hansen. Petty provides a specialized
expertise in the secondary market of works by Frederick Hammersley, John
McLaughlin, and many others. There has been a special emphasis on bridging
the gap between the traditional fine art gallery and furniture emporium that
continues to drive Petty today. Most recently, Petty has turned his attention
to contemporary artists, selecting them from the international art community, whose
works are influential in the post-modernist dialogue that continue to explore
compelling and provocative subjects in form and medium. Beginning of 2010, NOHO
Modern proudly announced its collaborative efforts with artist Jean Claude
Wouters including an upcoming solo exhibition in the fall.
NOHO Modern is committed to servicing the art and design community with its
honest and straightforward approach in new acquisitions, installation, and

accommodate his/her preference. The team at NOHO Modern stays current with the
international scene by maintaining key relationships with influential galleries
and auction houses, augmenting important sales with long-standing clients, attending
noteworthy art fairs across the world, and staying abreast in research and
discovery.
